Our Story

Burning River Designs is a Las Vegas, Nevada based custom design and laser engraving company. Burning River is an extremely family-oriented company, and that will be evident with the punctuality, communication, and love you receive from the team. We originally started out as a furniture company and as our first few years of of business went on, we found our client base wanting more and more laser engraved items, so we listened to our customers and decided to transition into almost fully a custom laser engraving and design company. We want to work with you for tradeshow giveaways, groomsmen and bridesmaid gifts, company holiday presents and anything custom you can think of. We will work with you from the design phase all the way to the delivery of your items.

Burning River Designs was founded and is owned by Zac Tomko. Zac is a native of Northeast Ohio and as he likes to say, grew up in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, his favorite place in the world to this day. He went to Walsh Jesuit High School and moved to Lexington, Kentucky for college where he received a degree in Theatre Design and Technology and a minor in Art Studio. While in Lexington, a mentor, professor, and friend of his introduced him to woodworking. Zac started by learning how to make cutting boards and was immediately hooked. His mentor then showed him how to lathe bowls, make table tops, carve wooden cutlery but most importantly how to be an artist and a good person. Zac attributes his love of woodworking and design to that mentor and friend. After college, Zac moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and started working at Cirque Du Soleils show Mystere! Zac took a brief hiatus from Cirque during the pandemic and worked at Cirque Du Soleil Beatles Love show at the Mirage for over a year until the hotel closed. Zac is currently on tour with Cirque Du Soleils Twas The Night Before show and is running Burning River in his free time with the help of his team in Las Vegas. Zac has 2 amazing dogs, Storm and Ash as well as the love his life, Merrie.
